Quotes I Live By: On Loving Life

I guess suffering from a bad flu on what’s supposedly my very first St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland doesn’t have to ruin my entire year. While everyone’s enjoying the parade, drinking the famous Irish Guinness beers and having the time of their lives for Ireland’s biggest celebration of the year, I figured I could do something productive myself.

“Train your mind to see the good in everything.” I whispered to myself halfheartedly as I opened my Photoshop and started doing some typography works…

which I am more than pleased to show you on this post. 😉

Just a foreword:

You must know that I am a huge quote-collector. (Ask one of my high school classmates 😉 ) Quotes are a collection of words once spoken by other people, perfectly delivering what we meant to say, in a sentence or a paragraph. While I utterly admire quotes by great people in history, words spoken by ordinary people fascinates me just as much.

I’m starting this series Quotes I Live By where I’ll occasionally be sharing my favorite quotes in categories. Today’s classification is On Loving Life. I started with this because somehow, what I’ve learned, and still continuing to learn today, is that we don’t have to have perfect lives or even an almost-perfect one to live a good life. Get it? No?

You see, there is something good happening in your life right now. You’re reading this post so you must have an access to internet somehow. And you might have roof over your head, don’t you? You might have even 2 or 3 people around you who loves you and cares about you. That’s huge, okay? Most of the time, we forget about these things because it’s natural to us. It seems ordinary. So we do ordinary things every day. But if we look closely, there is something more than the ordinary. We have the opportunity and the choice to do something great every day. To really live, and not merely exist.

Here are just some of the quotes I personally love about living. Because sometimes, all it takes is just one quote to remind us.

I hope you learned something from my quotes treasure chest.

Oh, and all the photos used above are mine and are taken using film.

And I’d love to know- what kind of quotes do you want to read next? Please let me know below. 🙂

Much love,
